Based
on the recommendations of H.E. Dr. Tarek Kamel, Minister of Communications
and Information Technology; ITI Alexandria branch held a meeting on Thursday
August 19, 2010 to discuss the idea of establishing a union for IT companies
in Alexandria. The meeting was attend by representatives from different IT
companies like CMCS; SoftXpert, IRange, UCIS, Andalusia, IT Nations, Logon
Labs, ForEach IT, and Gogo Host who were very enthusiastic about the idea
and how that union would help enrich the IT industry. |

IT in collaboration with Alexandria University at the Faculty of Medicine's
main conference hall, the debates discussed whether Egypt is ready for
applying the green IT techniques or not yet; representatives from different
IT companies and concerned authorities such as Egyptian Environmental
Affairs Agency attended the event and participated with their opinion and

the Graduation of 9-Month Program Intake 30. |

ITI
celebrated its annual graduation ceremony for its 30th intake. The Ceremony
hold on Monday, 12th of July 2010 at Khufu Hall - Cairo International
Conference Centre (CICC) at 8:00 PM, under the auspices of H. E. Dr. Tarek
Kamel, Minister of Communications and Information Technology.
A total of 866 trainees graduated from ITI this year. A total of 6084
specialists have graduated from ITI institute since it was first established

June 24th, 2010, EMC2 received for the first time at its headquarters in
Boston a visit from the Egyptian Minister of Communications and Information
Technology; H.E. Dr. Tarek Kamel, during his official mission to the US. Dr.
Kamel was accompanied by MCIT Senior Officials and witnessed with Mr. Joe
Tucci; EMC2 Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer the signing of
the Memorandum of Understanding, (MoU), between the Information Technology

protocol of cooperation has been signed yesterday May 16, 2010 between ITIDA
at one side and ITI, Assiut University and Finserv Company at the other
side; the signing ceremony was honorably attended by H.E. Dr. Tarek Kamel,
Minister of Communications and Information Technology and H.E. Dr. Hany

On the 23rd of March, Dr. Mohamed Salem and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Sheirah welcomed the Presidents and the representatives
of South
Valley, Minia, Menofia, Banha, Suez Canal, Beni Suef, Kafr Al-Sheikh
and Fayoum in ITI’s premises. Dr. Salem started by
presenting an overview on ITI’s current activities followed by a
presentation on EDUEgypt Program by ITI’s Deputy of Projects. The
objective of the meeting was to orient the Presidents of the
universities on EDUEgypt Program and the prerequisites of
implementing it in Egyptian universities as a preparatory stage to

Information Technology Institute, ITI, participates in The
Euro-Mediterranean Innovation Marketplace at the Fairmont Towers
Hotel under the patronage of HE. DR. Ahmed Nazif, Prime
Minister of Egypt.
ITI contributes as an Exhibitor, where it presents the new trends
towards innovation. In its exhibition, ITI-project "RDI- TeleMedic@Egypt"
with Fraunhofer IBMT, Germany and VACSERA, Egypt has been
demonstrated. Furthermore, the 9-months and the EDUEgypt programmes
are mentioned to reflect the relation between the Capacity Buidling
Progammes and Innovation. The cooperation between ITI and Paderborn

the new premises of the Information Technology Institute (ITI) in

Smart Village on Thursday, January 14th, 2010. Dr.
