Assistant Professor, Technical University, SLOVAKIA.

Member – American International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).
Member – World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology (WASET).

Certified – CITI, CEU.

Certified – PhD. with Honor degree, in “New Communication Methods in Wireless Mobile Computer Networks”, within the International doctoral award/scholarship from European technical universities with Cisco wireless research labs at TU-Bratislava, SLOVAKIA, co. TU-Vienna, AUSTRIA.

Thanks to ITI & ITI-leaders' courses, actors and actresses of such a success story are now open-minded professionals with wide IT capabilities worldwide. I have made use of almost all what I learned:

  • I became an example of a hard working, likes reading, thinking, inquiry, exploration, discussion, teaching, invention, creativity, writing, discovering the unknown, to tackle unstructured problems and assigned tasks, prefers thinking up new ideas &
sketching out the basic fundamentals, and also to deal with finishing the details on a project.

  • Furthermore, I became much skilled in teaching undergraduates and supervise postgraduates.

  • I became also much stronger in conducting research in my field of specialization and to take a part in both the local & European fond scientific research projects as well, where I'm a passion for scientific research and would gladly charge through a machine-gun nest for the privilege of doing research.

  • My research interests are wildly spread to include analyzing, designing, modeling, mathematically evaluating, simulating & implementing architectures and protocols for both DWDM all-optical computer networks and wireless-mobile computer networks, including Roaming service using Mobile-IP on Cisco platforms and quality of service (QoS) management in wireless mobile Internet for secure Roaming service.

  • My ability to conduct in both the technical and education/research fields gave me the capability to find a successful way, not only in Egyptian universities but also in International societies of USA and at the moment in European universities & organizations in Slovakia & Austria….. and I feel like a brilliant star in the sky of our world's universe, to be one of the unique-s in this direction, whose award wasn't the Oscar prize but something more precious, it is "ITI certification".

Ph.D. Degree in Computational Linguistics .

In 1999, I graduated from the Spanish Department, Faculty of Arts. Shortly after, I heard about ITI through an advertisement in the newspaper. At that time, IT field was completely far from my field. However and despite the fact that I have been offered an academic post at my Department, I did not hesitate to take the initiative and find out a new way. After going through the admission exams I was accepted in intake 15.

Along nine-months in ITI, I learned a lot, new horizons were opening. My perspective changed completely, my learning experience in ITI was an added value to me as a person and as a professional fresh graduate taking her first steps. After graduation, I went through a transitional stage trying to find out, many thoughts popped up to my mind:
Should I continue in my Humanities academic career and forget about IT?
Should I switch to the IT field and forget about my Humanities background?

I though it is a crossway where I should choose only one way. However and after a lot of thinking, I thought why should I limit myself to only 2 ways? I have to be innovative and I have to make use of all what I learned! In fact, I realized that during learning, we never forget our background; knowledge acquisition is an accumulative process. It is an “added” value to other values that we already gained along the years spent in our careers. So why should we discard them when we can really bring them together?! That is the reason why I decided to search the meeting point between languages and computers. I decided to find my way and to pursue my academic studies in the field of Computational Linguistics and Natural Language Processing.

At the beginning, the way seemed difficult and the goal is so far to reach. Five years later and in December 2005, I obtained my PhD degree (Excellent with Honors) in Computational Linguistics applied on the processing of Arabic, Spanish and English Language from a famous European University. My dream came true and I participated in different research projects in Spanish universities and institutions, I lectured in these universities and gave talks in many conferences in other universities across Europe. After my postdoctoral research, I decided to get back to my mother-University, to Cairo University and help transmit this knowledge to my Egyptian students. My goal is to bridge the gap between disciplines, to get together Humanities and Technology on a win-to-win basis. To teach students the benefits of the inter-communication in a society based on Knowledge Technologies, not only Information! Inter-communication in sciences would lead us to better understanding and a broader view of inter-cultural communication.

Platform: Mechatronics

Application Engineer
dSPACE International (Germany)

I am graduated from Mansoura University, Faculty of Engineering, Computer Engineering and Automatic Control department, Mansoura University consider as one of the leading governmental universities in Egypt at June 2003.
As many of the Egyptians fresh graduates, the selection of the next step after the graduate is a hard decision.
I knew about the Information Technology Institute (ITI) from my elder brother he was an ITInz too intake 16.

I decided to join the ITI too, but in a different area in a new branch called Mechatronics. After the “9 months” diploma program at the ITI, I get too much knowledge and practical experience not only in the electrical engineering but also in the mechanical engineering which was a question mark for me as a computer engineer graduate.

I graduated from the ITI at July 2005, and I was the first in Mechatronics Department.
As the most of my colleagues we decided to use the ITI Link with Paderborn University (Germany) to complete our study there and to get a master degree in, Joint Studies of Applied Mechatronics”.

After studding some courses in the Paderborn University which enable me to integrate with the German working environment, then I applied for a master practical part at dSPACE, dSPACE is the world’s leading producer of solutions for developing and testing fast mechatronic control systems. Their main application field is the automotive industry, but they are also employed in drives, aerospace and industrial automation.

My master degree thesis title was “Conception and Implementation of a Real-Time Environment Simulation for Testing Driver Assistant Systems”.

I finished my master and now working at dSPACE as an application engineer.

I can summarized my experiences, that I had three succeed steps in my practical life , started with joining the ITI which was the main turn point, then complete my studies in Germany at Paderborn University , and Joining dSPACE which improved me as an engineer and provide me the meaning of working in multinational firms.

May I express my gratitude to ITI and its role in my colleagues and my career? ITI helped shaping the future for many of its graduates. Now many of them hold excellent positions in their companies and many have further enhanced their career obtaining MBA and PhD. The skills acquired during our studies in ITI were the base for this progress. I strongly believe ITI graduates are the future IT leaders in Egypt.

Joining ITI was a turning point in my life leading to a successful career. I changed from communication engineering to computer science. ITI qualified me to a level enabling me to be entitled to a Master Degree in Bergen University (Norway) to study “System Dynamics” which is a new field in computer science and management. This paved the way for me to get my Ph.D. from the same university. I must say that ITI has a profound effect on my career path. ITI availed to me several opportunities to acquire new knowledge and skills.

ITI changed my whole life, Really I consider it the most important step , It was like a factory that developed all of my previous experiences, added more , and changed my way of thinking from a computer user to IT professional with an open way of thinking and ability not to take delivery of new technologies but to add more value to it. On the other side ITI provided me with a market recognized credential not in Egypt only but in the gulf area where I’m working now.
