Mechatronics

Department Overview
Mechatronics has been defined as “The synergistic integration of mechanical engineering with electronics and intelligent computer control in the design and manufacture of products and processes”.
Mechatronics Engineering is a relatively new discipline, which is based on the ability to integrate the classical fields of mechanical, electronics and computer engineering technologies at the design stage of mechanical products.
The ITI has developed the Mechatronics Diploma under the supervision of a specialized group of experts in the field of Mechatronics with a technological focus as well as applied aspects.

Conditions & Terms of Acceptance
Electrical (including Communication, Computer, electronics, electrical power and Biomedical Engineers), Mechanical (including aerospace, textile, marine Engineers), Nuclear Engineers and Mechatronics Engineers.

Graduates Profile
The Mechatronics Diploma is offered to meet the demand of our industries for engineers capable of achieving sustained competitiveness, and the ITI is committed to maintain high quality training through encouraging students to strive for excellence in every activity. ITI does not only consider monitoring the market needs, but also devotes great efforts towards forecasting the expectations of next decades in the light of the current technological advancements

Academic Recognition
University of Paderborn, Germany Realizing the importance of this domain, the Information Technology Institute (ITI) has established a joint program with the University of Paderborn to deliver the M.Eng. degree in the field of Mechatronics. The program “Joint Studies of Applied Mechatronics” consists of two stages: The first stage corresponds to the ITI diploma received in Egypt, while the second stage is held at Paderborn University and involves training in one of the leading companies in Germany.
