  1. What is the EDU Egypt program?

The program is a joint project between the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology and the Ministry of Higher Education aiming at leveraging the employability of the Egyptian university graduates by providing them undergraduate training courses required by the job market.

  1. Why should you join EDU Egypt program?

By joining the program you increase your chances to hook up with international employers.

  1. What are the courses offered in the program? What will be the program duration?

The courses varied from university to another. Check the links of different universities to see the details of each training program (the topics, duration and training schedule).

  1. Are there any kinds of certifications gained after the completion of the program?

After the completion of the program you will be awarded the program certificate of the courses and duration. Students who are not committed to complete the program will not receive any certificate.

  1. Are there any pre-requisites or conditions to admit to the program?

To join the program;

- You have to be a final year student.

- Have made an adequate academic progress (measured by your grades).

- Pass the qualification exams.

  1. How many students will be in the same class during the course

According to the nature of the program there will be maximum of  25-27 students per class.

  1. Study courses are elective or pre set?

Elective courses are for the Technical courses only (for faculties of Computer & Information Science). 

  1. When does the program start?

The program qualification exams will take place from 12 to 21 October 2008. Training will start on the 8 of November 2008.

 

  1. Are there any fees for the program? And if yes, what kind of financial support the ITI offers?

The program is sponsored by the Ministry of  Communications and Information Technology and free of any charges.

  1. What are the steps to apply to the program? Shall you fill out a registration/application form and send it back to the ITI?

Candidates of the program are originally nominated by their faculties according to the selection criteria set by the faculty; those candidates are welcomed to confirm participation at their faculties.

  1. Whom shall you contact in case of any problems during the course?

Training supervisors are assigned to each group of students, according to your group you should report your feedback to your training supervisor.

  1. Will there be any conflict between the timing of lectures of program and the timing of lectures in university?

Timing of lectures is set to be in the student vacation day; the student will be free to select the appropriate group according to his/her convenience.

  1. When will the results of qualifications exam be announced?

Results of the qualification exams will be announced not later than 2 weeks after finishing the qualification exams; however students are recommended to address the faculty for earlier announcements in certain faculties.

  1. How should the student prepare to the qualifications exam?

The qualification exam tests your capabilities in analytical, numerical, language skills and IT background.

  1. Are there any kinds of job opportunities offered after course/program completion?

There are already foreign companies looking for candidates with the qualification offered through the program and these companies will be attending a job fair at the end of the program to select required employees.
