Introduction
Egyptian Government has identified the fast-growing export sector of
“offshore services” as a major opportunity for Egypt’s future economic
growth. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has
initiated a strategy for developing an export-oriented IT-enabled services
industry and positioning Egypt in the international market as a competitive
location for offshore services building on the capabilities of large and
well-educated workforce, strong business infrastructure, and proximity to
key markets in Europe.
Under
this strategy, the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA)
and the Information Technology Institute (ITI) are jointly organizing the
First International Executive Workshop Series on Globalization.
The Workshop Series aim to develop
the international industry knowledge, business and communication skills of
Egyptian Executives especially in competitively bringing in, establishing,
and operating IT and IT-enabled services for offshore markets. The
Workshop Series comprise a set of interactive executive gatherings
tackling: the development of a competitive strategy; offshore market
selection and penetration; offshoring project and contract management;
cross-culture communications; international standards and successful
practices in Healthcare, Financial, Human Resources and ERP outsourcing
services.
The
program hosts international coaches from both leading offshoring outsourcing
businesses and professional experts from the USA, UK, India, Belgium,
Austria and Mauritius.
