An Application of iButton in Secure Electronic Transaction,
The masters’ dissertation was based on the usage of a certain
type of smart cards (iButton) in secure electronic transactions.
The iButton was used to store digital certificate and encrypted
tokens so as to be used in authentication of electronic
transactions. The dissertation proposed an authentication system
over secure channels using SSL and the data sent over this
channel was encrypted using Triple DES Encryption algorithm.
