Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation for Automotive Active Suspension System

Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation for Automotive Active Suspension System
The project's aim is to design and implement a test bed that will serve as a tool for the development of an active suspension system for automobiles. On this test bed, all the modules that would be added to a car can be tested without going into the complexity and expense of having this new system implemented on an actual car. It is also targeted that this test bed will allow for a wide variety of disturbances to be tested on the suspension system.
With some refinement and improved manufacturing methods, this project could serve as a usefull tool for any automobile company or any company involved in automobile customization. Upon completion of this test bed, a prototype of the new suspension system is tested using a PID control algorithm

Media Convergence on GSM Mobile Networks

This project represents a glimpse of the Next Generation Networks (NGN) with its vast and various applications. The project team managed to build an integrated system that enables receiving any live TV or radio broadcast channel on any handheld pocket PC over GSM networks and in real-time. The received media passes through several encoding and customization phases to adapt to the target receiving limited capabilities device. The project can be the initiation of a small-business company which may grow via incubation to present the service of live TV and radio broadcasting on pocket PCs over GSM networks to all Egypt.

Cairo talks about itself

Ever since the Egyptian capital had been first established, it was reallocated several times over the ages. During the period between 641 to 1171 A.D., it started growing within the same region till it formed our Current Cairo, one of the biggest 20 cities in the whole world.

Open-source GIS tools were used to build this magnificent project over the web aiming to map and archive this historic period with its main features including; city center, market, residential areas, and the governor palace beside the surrounding landscape, showing the evolution of these features across the time. The project is supported with spatial and historic data that provides the ability to query and navigate a magnificent photo gallery of the most famous landmarks of each period. Moreover, there are several movies presenting the dominant architecture of each period.

The beauty of this project evolves mainly from our respect and wealth of the history of Cairo city, ever since El-Fustat city passing through El-Askar city then El-Qatai which was established by Ahmad Ibn Tulun then the Fattimid period which was followed by Ayyubids and Ottomans then Mohammed Ali & sons period till we arrived via time to our Current Cairo map.
